The Houlton Recreation Department will be accepting registrations until Friday, Feb. 13 for the following February vacation programs. Many of the programs are limited and for more details on each program call the rec at 532-1310.
Vacation Fun Program will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17 through Thursday, Feb. 19 from 9-11 a.m. each day. Children in grades PreK-6 are invited to participate. Registration is required by call 532-1310 by Friday. Activities will be: Tuesday, Feb. 17, create a craft; Wednesday, Feb. 18, board and card game contests; and Thursday, Feb. 19, cooking fun. Each day is limited to 20 youngsters and there must be a minimum of 10 youngsters to run the program. Cost for the program is $5 per child per day.
The rec center will be open to youth during the February vacation break on Saturday, Feb. 14 through Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1-4 p.m. each day, except for Tuesday, Feb. 17. Both the gym and game room will be available to youth.
Youth basketball registration reminder: Don’t forget to drop off your youth basketball registration to the Houlton Recreation Department by today, Feb. 11. The department will sponsor girls grades 5-6, boys grades 5-6, girls grades 7-8, and boys grades 7-8. Youth basketball programs run from Feb. 23 through April 10. For more information call 532-1310.
