STACYVILLE, ME & LAKE WORTH, FL – Muriel Morgan Hughes “Molly” in God’s care, 95, died February 9, 2015. She was born April 19, 1919 in Stacyville, the daughter of Raymond and  Laurel (Gee Gee) Morgan.
She attended the one room schoolhouse on the corner of  Siberia Road, and graduated at 16 from Sherman High, went on to Ricker College in Houlton and became an RN working at Eastern Maine General. She worked in many states before residing in Lake Worth, FL. There she worked in local hospitals, where she met Bud, until she settled into private duty nursing. She retired at the age of 75.
Muriel always had an open door policy in her home for children and adults alike. She was always giving, no one ever left her house hungry or in need. In her 80’s she moved with her brother, “Bo” and daughter, Maria, back to Stacyville to be near Rodney. She continued to travel frequently to Florida until her 94th year. In Florida, Mom enjoyed the beach and pool with her family. In Maine she enjoyed senior citizens, VFW dinners, countryside drives and visitors to the house.
She will be missed by all who knew her, including Mick, her cat who woke her. The family extends extreme gratitude to the staff of M.R.H., Dr. Ronald Blum and staff, Patten Paramedics and EMT’s, visiting nurses, our very special friends Deacon Dan and Brenda Watson, Robert Pulsifer, Bonita Staples, Paul and Sandra Albert, Steve and Kelly Curtis, June Pineau, Sylvia and Freddy Lilly, Charlene and Tom McAvoy, Dennis and Annabelle Gallagher, Butch and Harriet Astle, and the Brian McNally family.

Verville of Lake Worth, Maria Stoll of Stacyville, Charmaine Syx and son-in-law, Don Ryks of Greenacres, Melody A. Hughes of Lake Worth; beloved grandmother of Neil M. Syx and fiancé Jessica Dufort and daughter Emma; special great-grandmother to Alyson, Andru, Ashton, Aiden and Caylee.
