AsTLE, Elbridge Sr. E., 77, February 4, 2015.  Interment to be held in the Spring.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.

 SHERMAN – Elbridge E. Astle Sr., 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. He was born April 11, 1937, in Houlton, the loving son of Gordon and Elthea (McLellan) Astle.
    Bridge graduated from Sherman High School. The worked for area farmers, then Sherman Lumber Company until 1965 when he went to work for Great Northern Paper Company. He took great pride in his work there until his retirement in 1994.      On June 12, 1958, he married his soulmate and love of his life, Ella (Glidden) Astle. Bridge enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He lived to serve his Lord and to help others in any way he could, anytime he could. He also enjoyed camping at Jo Mary Lake Campground for many years and then at Birch Point Campground where he worked for special friends, Steve and Joey Edwards and families.
    In addition to his dear wife, he is survived by his son, Elbridge Astle Jr. and wife, Kathy of Greenbush; a daughter, Penny Daggett and husband, Tom of Mt. Chase; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Gordon “Butch” Astle and wife, Harriet of Sherman and Wayne Astle of Patten; two brothers-in-laws, Howard Glidden and wife, Pam of West Enfield, and Jerry Michaud of Milford; an aunt, Therlia St. Germaine of Patten; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister-in-law, Justine Michaud.
    Bridge will be dearly missed by all who knew him and those who didn’t missed out.
