HOULTON – Evelyn Reese, 79, died February 13, 2015, in Houlton. She was born July 20, 1935, in Alexander, the daughter of Robert and Doris (Hunnewell) Keene.
Evelyn enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds.
She is survived by her children, Robert Reese and his wife, Emily of Houlton, Carol Reese of Houlton, Doris Reese of Columbia SC, Brent Reese and his wife, Lori of Madison, Mary Murchie of Houlton and Patricia Gilman of East Hartford, CT; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Elaine Joseph of Belfast; 2 brothers, Ernest Keene of Litchfield and John Keene of Palermo; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Laurel; sisters Irene and Edith and brothers, Royce and Linden.
Friends called from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton where funeral services were held at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jessie Drysdale officiating. Spring interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
