Jones, Isabel, 82, February 7, 2015. A celebration of life will be held at the Melvin Village Community Church Willing Workers Hall, NH, on February 28, 2015 at 12 p.m. Burial will be held in the spring.
Isabel Jones died on February 7, 2015, at the Memorial Hospital Merriman House in North Conway, NH surrounded by her family. Isabel was born on August 15, 1932, in Stacyville, Maine, the daughter of Helen Seile Nicholson and Hartley Nicholson.
She attended high school in Sherman, Maine. She married Charles T. Jones, Jr. on January 25, 1958, and they lived in New Canaan, CT. They had three children and moved to NH in 1973. They divorced in 1980. She then spent 30 years with her special friend and partner, Alton Hayward (Slim) in Wolfeboro and Freedom, NH. She moved to Lancaster, NH, in the late summer of 2012 to be cared for by her daughter.
She was a talented flower gardener. She enjoyed sunsets, the lakes and mountains, loons, and time with her family and friends.
Surviving family members include her daughter, Sheila Felix and her seven children, of Wolfeboro, NH; son, Stephen and Heidi Jones and their three children of Freedom, NH, and Eric and daughter Sally (Jones) Livingstone of Lancaster, NH, and her sister, Jeanette Mazzella of California. She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom she loved. She was predeceased by her parents, and brothers, Harold McMoarn and Paul McMoarn.
A celebration of her life will be held in New Hampshire at the Melvin Village Community Church Willing Workers Hall on February 28, 2015 at 12 p.m. with a luncheon being provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the Saint Benedicts Cemetery Association, and mailed to the Saint Benedicts Parish, P.O. Box 27, Benedicta, ME 04733. A burial will be held in the spring.
