We want to take this opportunity to tell you about two boys, Rugar and RJ. These are two special boys that we hope getting the word out will find them their new homes.
These two came to us after being surrendered to animal welfare. They were left outside in the cold, tied to doghouses. We are assuming they were hunting dogs, due the fact that they are both hounds. Now don’t let that bother you, as we know hounds are not always “desirable” or wanted by many due to the fact people think they bark, run etc. These two are the exception. They are both truly amazing dogs and just want a house to live in and a family to love them.
Rugar is about 7 years old. He is neutered and has had all his shots. He is the more mellow of the two. He loves to walk outside and loves even more to lay on your lap. He is a great snuggler, who will do just about anything for an ear scratch. He would be a great addition to any family. He is good with the dogs and loves kids.
Rj is Rugar’s brother. He too is 7 years old and neutered with his shots up to date. He is more hyper than his brother. He loves to run and play and he is more vocal than his brother. He would do great in a home where he has a family who is active. Maybe hikes or swims. He just wants attention so badly.
Now, like I said above, these two are amazing. But we are always honest with our adopters and this time is no different. Due to the fact that they were tied out most of their lives, they are not 100 percent house broken. They will need training. They also have the chewing quality a lot of hounds have, so they may benefit from some work on that, as well. But we are confident that they would be great “indoor pets.” We will not adopt them out to live their lives outside again. They deserve better than this. They deserve a family! Come meet them today. You may just fall in love!
