Holmes receives Houlton MPA award

Houlton High School Principal Marty Bouchard has announced that senior Noah Holmes has been selected as the winner of the 2015 Maine Principals’ Association Award.
Holmes participates in student council, chorus, band, the fall musical, All Aroostook Choir, All-State Choir, cross country, basketball, baseball, volleyball and show choir where he received the “Outstanding Musicianship Award” for vocal last year.

Holmes is an ongoing recipient of the Principal’s Award, and he received the 2014 George Eastham Young Leader Award and the 2014 DAR Good Citizen Award. He works at the Houlton Recreation Center and Whited Bible Camp, plays bass for the church worship team, sings in Gospel Trio. He is also active in his youth group.
Holmes will attend an honors luncheon for MPA Award recipients on April 11 with Bouchard.
“Noah is a worthy recipient of this award,” Bouchard stated. “He has achieved very high academic marks while being involved in numerous co-curricular activities. Noah exhibits terrific leadership characteristics, and he is an outstanding school citizen.”
Holmes is the son of Richard and Sara Holmes. He resides in Houlton with his parents and younger sister Victoria.
