CARIBOU, Maine — The 25th annual Aroostook County Senior All-Star Games were held Thursday at Caribou High School.
In the girls’ game, Washburn’s Mackenzie Worcester had 19 points to lead the Pink team to a 79-74 victory over the Blue team. Also scoring in double figures for Pink were Meg Jellison of Fort Fairfield with 11 points and Felisha Bouchard and Courtney Parent, both of Van Buren, with 10 points each.
For the Blue team, Presque Isle’s Krystal Kingbury poured in a game-high 28 points, with Kennedi Smith of Southern Aroostook scoring 16, including four three-pointers, and Kalie Ward of Easton adding 10.
In the boys’ game, Kyle Bouchard of Houlton and Kenny Irving of Washburn each scored 26 points to power the Red team to a 113-93 victory over the Blue team. Also scoring in double figures for Red were Todd Young of Katahdin with 14, Cameron Bragg of Washburn with 12 and Nick Clark of Easton and Dominic Roy of Wisdom, each with 10.
For the Blue team, Robbie Watson of Fort Fairfield and Cody Blair of Ashland each had five three-pointers on their way to 20 and 18 points, respectively. Noah Farley of Washburn and Johnny Theriault of Fort Fairfield scored 11 each and Justin Sytulek of Van Buren added 10.
Proceeds from the contests, which featured players representing 17 Aroostook County schools, benefit the Aroostook League Scholarship Program.
