Houlton senior Kyle Bouchard was named to the 2015 Bangor Daily News All-Tournament team and is also a semifinalist for Mr. Basketball. (See related story).
The Shiretowners were eliminated in the semifinals, but Bouchard, a 6-4 forward, averaged 21.5 points per game. He was last year’s MVP of the regional tournament with 16.7 points and 12 rebounds in three games to lead Houlton to its first Eastern Maine crown since 2004. In 2012, as a freshman, Bouchard was named the co-MVP of the EM tourney.
After this year’s successful title run, Tyler Niles, a senior forward for Calais, earned the William C. Warner Most Valuable Player honor. He had 15.7 points per game.
Also named to the All-Tourney boys team are: Andre Paul, senior guard, Calais, 15 points per game; Nate DeSisto, sophomore guard, Orono, 10.3 points per game and Kyle Johnson, senior guard, Calais, 9.7 points per game.
Earning Honorable Mention in Class D was sophomore guard Jackson Mathers of Southern Aroostook.
