WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Senator Jim Risch has selected a Houlton native as one of three spring interns for his Washington, D.C. office.

Chelsi Murray is currently a senior at Liberty University where she is earning a degree in international relations with emphasis on strategic intelligence and government. At Liberty University, Chelsi serves on the Student Government Association and as the President of the Strategic Intelligence Society. She is also skilled in martial arts. She is the daughter of Leisha Murray.
As an intern, Murray has the opportunity to learn first-hand about public service and the U.S. Senate while assisting with constituent services and legislative research.
“Interning in the U.S. Senate is an excellent way to learn about the legislative branch of government and to see where much of our nation’s early history took place,” said Risch. “This group of interns is well qualified and is serving Idaho well.”
