HOULTON — The 7th Annual Community Bingo Night presented by the Houlton Rotary Club is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, at St. Anthony’s Hall.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with Early Bird games at 6:30 p.m. and the regular games beginning at 7 p.m. The caller will be Jock Gentle.
There will be $1,700 in cash prizes awarded throughout the evening including a $400 Blackout game and a Winner Take All Game.
The regular games will pay out $50 each while the Early Bird games are $25. Ages 16 and over are eligible to play and identification will be required.
Concessions will be available so participants are encouraged to arrive early and have something to eat.
Another opportunity to win will be available for those who bring an item for the Houlton Humane Society. Everyone who brings an item for the Animal Shelter will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Andy’s IGA Gift Card. Items of need include dish soap, laundry soap, hand soap, bleach, paper towels, canned dog and/or cat food, treats, rabbit food, copier paper, stamps and 13 gallon or 39 gallon garbage bags.

Proceeds from Bingo Night support the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, which will send two students abroad this summer. The Houlton Rotary Club has been participating in the Youth Exchange Program for 10 years and has already benefited 25 local students by providing them with a life changing experience, which broadens their understanding of other cultures. Bingo Night is the major fundraiser for the program.
