Hello everyone! Happy day to all. We are having some nice sunny days now, since the snow has left. I’ll agree there are still lots of piles of snow in places, but mostly it is gone for another year, thank goodness.
We are getting a new mailroom. Don’t know why but it will be where I call the computer room. We will all have a new mailbox soon.
Gerry Dunn has moved from Houlton Regional Hospital to Madigan, in the nursing home. After falling and breaking her hip and surgery, she moved. We miss you, Gerry.
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone. Yes, everyone, the guardians, those who look after small children. Hope your day is a nice one, spent with family and friends.
Michael Phelan, nephew of Lois Downing, of Glenburn, was a caller of hers on Sunday. Michael was headed to Caribou to visit his father’s grave.
Our annual banquet sponsored by Aroostook RSVP is the 40th Annual Volunteer Celebration. Invitations have been in the mail for a few days. If you attend this celebration, please get your answer to the correct person, so they may plan their dinner.
My gospel verse for today is: “Remain in me, as I have remained in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit because without me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5)
My angel verse: “Your suffering may make an angel weep into her wings, but it will never make her walk away.”
Have a wonderful week. Forget your cares (if you have any) and enjoy life.
