The Oakfield Senior Citizens held their first meeting in May at the Smoki-Haulers snowmobile clubhouse.
After the 19 members and two guests enjoyed a bountiful luncheon, Mr. Locke opened the business meeting with the Lord’s Prayer, followed by the Flag Salute. All reports were read and accepted. Jeanne Clements was the lucky 50/50 winner.
Sandra Grant and Sandra Buzzell then entertained the group with a great variety of musical talent, encouraging everyone to join in — and they did. Members hope they will return soon.
Attending were: Sharon Anderson, Tessie Barrett, Wannetta Townsend, Verna Boone, Kathleen Boutilier, George Barrow, Bernice Campbell, Iona Nadeau, Mildred Gagnon, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Arlene Friel, Bob and Delores Locke, Donna Furrow, Ursula Levesque, Jeanne Clements, Sandra Grant, Sandra Buzzell and Don and Charlotte Marley.
The Oakfield Seniors meet the first and third Wednesdays of each month with lunch at 11:30. For more information call Delores Locke at 757-8478.
