HOULTON, Maine — Two men who reportedly got lost traveling on Interstate-95 Friday morning wound up being charged with drug trafficking by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Kenneth Adams, 30, of Bronx, N.Y. and Scott Strid, 34, of Fort Fairfield were taken into custody after U.S. Customs officials detained the two men at the Port of Entry in Houlton. The two reportedly neglected to exit Interstate-95 in Houlton on their way to Presque Isle and wound up at the border crossing.
According to Peter Arno, commander of the MDEA, Adams was found to be in possession of nearly 200 grams of crack cocaine, with a street value of $20,000; 160 Oxycodone (30 mg) tablets with a street value of $6,500 and 30 grams of powder cocaine with a street value of $3,000.
Adams was charged with Class “A” aggravated trafficking in cocaine base (Crack), a schedule W drug, Class “A” aggravated trafficking in cocaine HCL, a schedule W drug and Class “A” aggravated trafficking in oxycodone, also a schedule W drug.
Also seized from Adams was $4,500 in cash, which was suspected to be the proceeds from drug sales.
Strid was reported to be in possession of approximately one gram of heroin. He was charged with possession of a Schedule W drug.

MDEA agents said the drugs seized were destined for re-distribution in central Aroostook County.
Both men were transported to the Aroostook County Jail, where Adams was held on $45,000 cash bail, while Strid was held on $500 cash bail.
This case remains open and further arrests are possible.
