HOULTON, Maine — The Southern Aroostook Development Corporation (SADC), with assistance from the RSU 29/70 Adult Education program, will host a free workshop entitled “Dump Trucks, Bulldozers & The Bottom Line” at the Houlton Higher Ed Center on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 6 p.m.
Small business owners, managers, folks considering starting a small business or even those that find financial reports intimidating should consider attending.
The session is really not about dump trucks but about understanding the costs of doing business. Understanding these costs is the common factor that drives all successful small businesses.
With guidance and anecdotal lessons from four local business people, attendees will learn if their business is truly flourishing or in need of some changes. The workshop will also feature discussions on the basics of creating and understanding financial statements and offer directions for obtaining additional resources.
