For those of you who don’t know, Houlton Elementary School on South Street has a newer outdoor playground, which also includes a new outdoor basketball court.
This is a state-of-the-art setup, with the basketball court having a no-slip rubber mat base. This demonstrates the types of things that Houlton does for its students.
The other reason for bringing this to your attention is to make you aware that someone has already done damage to the rubber mat, by spinning their tires, either with a four-wheeler or some (same type) vehicle.
Please help us to prevent this type of activity by reporting any suspicious activity you see to the HPD.
