ISLAND FALLS – Clayton E. Webb, 91, died May 24, 2015, in Bangor. He was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Island Falls, the son of Brayley P. Webb and Annie (Howard) Webb.
He was a graduate of Island Falls High School, a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the King Mitchell VFW Post. A past member of Island Falls Lodge #206 A.F. & A.M., Island Falls Fire Department as Chief and retired from Maine Public Service Co. after 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Getchell) Webb; a daughter, Brenda Willette; a son, Dale Webb, of Island Falls; a grandson, Bruce and wife, Janet; great-grandsons, Nicholas of Island Falls, and Dylan in the United States Air Force, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Norman “Bud” Webb; and five sisters, Evelyn, Pauline, Arolyn, Edwina and Maxine; Clayton’s first wife, Alouise Marie (Larsen) Webb.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th at the Island Falls Cemetery. Rev. Ben Greene officiating. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
