American Flag Color    HOULTON – Ralph A. Elliott, 86, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at a local hospital. He was born October 10, 1928, in Houlton, the son of Ernest and Pauline (Campbell) Elliott.
    Ralph grew up in Littleton and attended Littleton and Houlton schools. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War while serving in the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge he went to work for Russell Henderson on his chicken farm. Following that he started a long career at Houlton International as a wood turner. Ralph was very skilled at his job and in many instances was asked to stand in on the other machines. He liked cars as well as rolling pennies. He was a very generous person and was very kind to his younger brother John when they were children. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always giving people nicknames.
    Ralph is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann (Bell) Elliott, a son, Gregory Elliott both of Houlton; a brother, John C. Elliott and his wife, Lucy (Berube) of Fort Kent; two brothers-in-law, Lynwood Harriman of Fairhaven, MA, Rev. Harold Carpenter of Rockland; many nieces and nephews; and his dog “Ben.”
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Donna Harriman and Wilma Carpenter, and an infant brother, Garth Elliott. Ralph’s family would like to thank the staff of Houlton Regional Hospital, Madigan Estates and Dr. Abouleish for the care given Ralph during his illness.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home Friday 3:00p.m. until the time of the service 4:00 p.m. with Pastor James Gardner officiating. Interment will be in the Littleton Cemetery.
