The Oakfield Senior Citizens met at the travel bureau picnic area in Houlton for their meeting on July 1. Everyone supplied their own sandwiches with brownies and a graham cracker dessert being shared. What a great place for a picnic lunch and so much activity going on there with travelers stopping for directions, walkers taking advantage of the safe and smooth surface to exercise, drivers stretching out their legs before continuing on their journey. Earl Doughty entertained with his accordion and we all sang “Happy Birthday” to those born in July.
What a surprise to have Tessie Barrett join us. Those attending were: Bonnie Pratt, Wannetta Townsend, Verna Boone, Marie Gillotti, George Barrow, Bernice Campbell, Arlene Friel, Mildred Gagnon, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Jeanne Clements, Bob and Delores Locke, Tessie Barrett, Don and Charlotte Marley.
