Ricker Rumblings

It’s been a few weeks since my last publication. I had a stupid fall at home and I have been nurturing it. My neighbors have been very good, waiting on me and giving me meals. I am very grateful for their help.

I offer my sympathy to the families of Patricia Guy and Christine Loiselle. Both were friends and so sorry for their losses, both to their families and to the community.
Peggy Robinson boarded a plane in Bangor to go to Florida recently. She is taking care of her son and daughter-in-law’s dog while they are both away. Maureen, Peggy’s sister, and a friend drove her to Bangor.
I was unable to attend the Fourth of July dinner in the community room a few Fridays ago. I was grateful to receive a dinner from Charlene, who took the time to accommodate me. It was a lovely dinner, with hot dogs and seafood sandwiches. Thank you very much.
Speaking of Charlene, she and Brian became grandparents to twins by her daughter Amy and husband Mr. O’Donnell. The twins were named Lilly and Lydia. Congratulations to all.
Saddie Carmichael informed me of Ken Thibodeau’s brother‘s death. He was a neighbor of Saddie’s and Ken used to live here before moving to a nursing home facility.
Sympathy is also offered to Lavina Byron as she had a death in her family recently. So sorry friend.
The lawn was covered with people during the Fourth of July parade which passes by Ricker. It was enjoyed by many and the Ricker lawn is a popular spot.
On angels: “We should pray to the angels, for they are given to us as guardians.” (Saint Ambrose)
Have a wonderful week, full of joy and good health.
