What an absolutely gorgeous week for outside activities and of course golf! Congratulations to Warren Walker for his hole-in-one on No. 11 on Saturday, July 11!
On July 7, the Ladies’ Day Clinic was all about short shots. The clinic was followed by a Red and White Scramble. The ladies played from the white tee markers on numbers two, four, seven and eight … what a different perspective! Coming in first with a 37 was Bev Osborne, April Bates and Joy Ivey. Second was Terry Pettengill, Sarah Douglas, Candy Kelley and Fern Zepp with a 42. Carol Blood, Heidi Hollis, Dawn Merry, and Deb Porter were in third with a 44. Ladies’ Golf is every Tuesday — rain or shine! This free clinic is open to all ladies and begins at 9 a.m. followed by golf (weather permitting).
The scramble this week was an Alternate Shot Match. First, Greg and Sara Douglas and Dick Kelley 91; second, Stuart and Becky Kelley and Lois Kelley 93*; and third, April and Ricky Bates, Ted and Terry Pettengill 93* (* tie broken by low handicap hole).
Pairs and Spares golfers meet each Sundays at 2:30 p.m..  There is a $2.50 entry fee per person. Come join us!
Twilight League is under way but due to weather many matches have not been played. Please remember to make up your matches prior to the next Tuesday. Thank you!
Friday, July 24 at 1 p.m., we will be having our 50th anniversary scramble. This will be an 18-hole scramble will be a four-person scramble with both net and gross prizes. The cost is $20 per person with a special $10 green fee for non-members. Cart is not included. Join us in continuing our 50 year celebration.
On Friday, July 31, we will be hosting our annual Moonlight Golf Tournament. Sign up with your four-person team for this fun-filled event. The cost is $20/member and $30/non-member (cart and one glow ball included). The field is limited to 50 so bring your flashlights and have a ball!
