MONTICELLO – Ronald A. Flewelling, Sr. 84, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Houlton Regional Hospital with his grandson, Matthew Flewelling by his side. He was born November 25, 1930, in Monticello, the son of Leslie and Vera (Foster) Flewelling.
Ronald was employed as a long haul truck driver for all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry (Donahue) Flewelling; his five children, Vera Flewelling Folsom of Pinnelas Park, Florida, Dale Flewelling and his wife, Lois, of Houlton, Frank Flewelling and his wife, Patty of Topsham, Ronald A. Flewelling, Jr. and his wife, Paula of Monticello, Mary Ann (Flewelling) Holmes and her husband, Chris, of Houlton; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Perfitt and her husband, Donald, of Monticello, Joanne Nason and her husband, Mark, of Old Town; step-daughter, Diane Doe; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Garth and Nancy Golding, Tom and Jodi Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased his brothers, Ray, Russell and Merle; his sisters, Pearl and Ruby; and a very special grandson, Brad T. Flewelling.
Graveside service will be held at the Jewell Cemetery, Monticello, on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jason Rooney officiating.
