My sixth-grade class took a field trip to Bangor. We went to the University of Maine Museum of Art, a Japanese restaurant named Yoshi, and the Hudson Museum. My mom, Jolynn Stevens, and my teacher, Mrs. Stone, were our chaperones.

First we went to the art gallery. Eva Wagner was our tour guide. The first painting we looked at was called “Amnesia” by Elizabeth Caine. Next we looked at Andy Warhol paintings. After that we played a game, made our own art, and did a scavenger hunt.
Next, we went to Yoshi for lunch. We ordered really cool Japanese sodas with marbles in them. We got to sit on cushions on a bamboo floor. We even had to take off our shoes.
Then we went to the museum. First, Gretchen Faulkner, our guide, showed us gold jewelry that people wore a long time ago in Central America. After that, we bounced a big rubber band ball. Then we saw weird clay statues, a long boat, and a wigwam.
On the way home, we stopped by Dairy Queen and we all got ice cream. That was the best field trip ever!
