Hodgdon fills boys soccer position

HODGDON, Maine — The Hodgdon High School boys soccer team will have a new, but familiar face on the sidelines this season.
Robbie Smith, the varsity boys basketball coach at Hodgdon, was chosen as the new varsity boys soccer coach by the SAD 70 school board Monday evening. Smith replaces Sarah Williams, who guided the team for one season.

Smith was expecting to coach middle school girls soccer this fall, but was approached by the district about taking on the varsity boys job after Williams resigned.
The Hawks open their season on Sept. 2 at Van Buren.
