    BITHER, Virginia W., 89, August 14, 2015.  Interment held in the Bither family lot at the Linneus Cemetery.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.

    BANGOR and HOULTON – Virginia Woodhams Bither passed away August 14, 2015, at her residence in Bangor following a brief illness. She was born May 22, 1926, in Williamson, New York, the daughter of Mervin and Carrie (VerDow) Woodhams.
    Virginia worked for forty-plus years at Kraft Foods in White Plains, New York. Her passions were enjoying dark chocolate bars, shopping, hosting visiting Maine family members and treating them to New York City visits. She loved cooking. Virginia often hosted and cooked for many of her husband’s, Hartley Bither, Masonic friends in their home. She enjoyed and loved her three poodles over the many years. Virginia was a long time and very active member of the Methodist Church in White Plains, New York. She was active in the Eastern Star. She and Hartley were very interested, supportive and generous to their parents, to siblings, to other family members, their church and organizations they were involved in.
    Virginia is survived by a special nephew, Raymond B. Webb and his wife, Linda, of Dedham; a niece, Marcia Reitz of Webster, New York; several other nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews of the Bither and Woodhams families.
