HODGDON, Maine — The SAD 70 board is looking for a couple of residents from the community to serve on a long-range planning committee for the district.

Superintendent Scott Richardson said Monday evening that the board was in the initial stages of forming a Board Advisory Committee to explore issues impacting the district for the next five years. The group will review such issues as maintenance schedules for the three buildings in the district, budgetary constraints and the educational system as a whole.
Board chairman Laura Geiger and members Andrew Nickerson, Lisa Dangerfield and Maureen Friel are on the committee, along with Richardson. Two teachers will also be appointed to the panel.
Citizens who are interested in the volunteering may contact the superintendent’s office at 532-3015.
