HOULTON, Maine — The ballot is now set for seats on the Houlton Town Council and RSU 29 school board. The deadline for nomination papers was Friday at the town office.
Three candidates — Paul Cleary, Rosa McNally and Susan Waite-York — are seeking two available three-year terms on town council.
Three individuals — Bruce Clark, Tammy Goetsch and Lori Holmes — are seeking three open three-year terms on the RSU 29 board. All three individuals currently serve on the board. A one-year seat on the board did not have any candidates, and therefore will be filled by a write-in nomination.
The Board of Budget Review had three open seats, for three-year terms, but no individuals returned nomination papers for this board.
Lauren Fitzpatrick is running for a five-year seat on the Cary Library board of trustees, while Stephen Nelson and Gary Hagan are each seeking a three-year seat on the Houlton Water Company board of directors.
