PORTLAND — University of Southern Maine Executive Director of Public Affairs, Christopher Quint, has announced his resignation, effective Oct. 5.
Quint came to USM after serving as executive director of the Maine State Employees Association, SEIU Local 1989, and prior to that as senior public affairs director of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Portland.
Originally from Hodgdon, Quint is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College. He returned to Maine in 2004 after spending his early career in Colorado where he lived in Denver and worked as a legislative aide in the Colorado General Assembly along with serving as a public affairs director for various campaigns and organizations.
Robert Stein, currently executive director of external relations at the University of Maine Augusta, started Oct. 6 as USM’s new executive director of public affairs.
