HOULTON — Jillian B. Oliver, 75, unexpectedly passed away on October 15, 2015 surrounded by her family. Jillian was born on July 15th, 1940, the twelfth child out of thirteen.

She was predeceased by her husband Urieal L. Oliver, and son Ronald A. Oliver. In addition she was predeceased by her mother, Tyra Smith Joy and father, Carroll Joy, siblings John Joy, Edith Wilson, James Joy, Herbert Joy, Doris Belanger, Frederick Joy, Betty Worthington, Frank ‘Pucky’ Joy, and Sally DeLaite.

Jillian’s joy of her life was her family, children, and grandchildren. Her life was taking care of her family, those near and far, and raising her children and grandchildren. Jillian loved to knit in her rocking chair and her knitting needles were never idle, as she could knit, read, and watch the Red Sox all at the same time. Jillian loved going for rides and taking a picnic, teaching her children to appreciate the simple things in life and appreciate nature and its beauty.

Jillian is survived by her children, Leslie Oliver and his fiance, Brenda Taylor of Houlton, Barry Oliver and his fiance, Becky Woodcock of Haynesville, James Oliver of Corinna, Jane and Mac Moody of New Limerick; her precious, loving grandchildren Autumn London, Collin Moody, Margaret Moody, Sarah Moody, and Melissa Moody; siblings Henry Joy and his wife, Mary of Crystal, Jerry Joy and his wife, Jean of Macon, GA, David Joy and his wife, Melba of Fredericton, NB, Canada; sisters-in-law Joan Carrier of Scarborough, Joyce Botting of Dyer Brook. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all dear to her heart.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the Dunn Funeral Home Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 from 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Rowe officiating. Interment will be at North Amity cemetery following the funeral.
