ISLAND FALLS, Maine — The standings for the Birch Point Men’s Bowling League as of Sunday, Nov. 1, are as follows: 1, Strike Force, 16-0; 2, Intimidators, 12- 4; 3, Gutterballs, 10- 6; 4, Sandbaggers, 6-10; and 5, Rough Riders, 4- 12.
The high single of the week went to Mike Detour, with a 126, while John Duffy won the high series with a 320. The team high single went to Gutter Balls with a 524, while Strike Force won the team high series at 1,540.
The five averages for the season are: Joe Bishop, 107.6; Mike Detour, 104.1; Bob King, 103.5; John Duffy, 102.8; and Jerry Violette, 100.5.
Women’s Bowling
ISLAND FALLS, Maine — The Birch Point Women’s Bowling League standings as of Oct. 27 are: 1, Twisted Sisters, 17-7; 2, Incredibowls, 16-8; 3 (tie), Ball Busters and Candlepin Mamas, 12-12; 5, WWB, 11-13; and 6, Golden Girls, 4-20.
The top six averages were: 1, Chris Lash, 99.2; 2, Donna Crandall, 93.4; 3, Sherry Porter, 91.2; 4, Patti Hartin, 90.2; 5, Dede Edkins, 90; and 6, Beth Edkins, 89.5.
The weekly high single went to Lash with a 117 while the weekly high threes went to Dede Edkins with a 290. The year-to-date high single is Lash at 117 and the year-to-date high threes is also Lash at 306.
