NORTH WINDHAM, CT — Crawford W. “Hank” Marley II, 81, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at this home, surrounded by his children. He was born April 29, 1934 in Smyrna to Benjamin Sr. and Shirley (Inglalls) Marley. After being raised on a farm in Maine, he moved to Connecticut at the age of 18, where he started to work for the Coca Cola Bottling Co. He retired as a supervisor after 39 years with the company. While working there, he was drafted into the U.S. Army from which he was honorably discharged in 1962. He married Barbara Nichols in 1959. Being a nineteen year cancer survivor, many people called him “The man of Steel, Ford Tough.” In the early morning hours, he enjoyed listening to the word of God being preached. His faith in God was his true strength. Crawford is survived by his five children, Vianne Bonczek, Crawford III and his wife, Ruth, Dana, Brian & Teressa all of North Windham, CT; three grandchildren, a brother, Benjamin and wife, Betty of Oakfield. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Barabara, who passed away 29 years ago to the day of his own passing. He was a kind and giving man who lived his family and admired by all who knew him.
