PRESQUE ISLE — Aroostook County Action Program, Inc. (ACAP) held its election of board officers for 2015-2016 at its annual meeting on Thursday, Nov. 19.
The slate of officers is as follows: Stephen D. Richard of Presque Isle, chair; William Egeler of Presque Isle, vice chair; Paula Sperrey of Presque Isle, treasurer; Trudy Gorneault of Presque Isle, secretary; Dan MacDonald of Caribou, parliamentarian; and Gary Sanfacon of Caribou, member-at-large.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to work with such experienced members of our board of directors,” said Jason Parent, ACAP executive director. “As the new executive director, it is so helpful to be surrounded by individuals with the longevity, historical perspective and commitment to our mission that these board officers possess.”
Richard has served as board chair for 21 years.
“It is a privilege to continue to help lead Aroostook County Action Program, Inc. with such a qualified group of community members,” Richard stated. “Our 21-member volunteer board of directors is represented by individuals throughout northern, central and southern Aroostook County.
“While we have seen many changes in the delivery of programs and services, I am proud to be associated with an organization that continues to stay true to its mission to help ‘Make Life Better’ for thousands of Aroostook County residents,” said Richard.
