Ricker Rumblings
By Lois Downing

Hello, everyone! I feel blessed to be able to send Christmas blessings to each and every one of my readers. The season is a special one for so many. My wish is that you all have a wonderful day, full of love and joy.

This Sunday, the last before Christmas, we are to partake of Brian (Henderson’s) seafood chowder. The chowder is very delicious and I look forward to it and the fun that goes with it — our Christmas party in the community room.

Kathryn Hall of Brewer is visiting her mother, Lois Downing, for the weekend. Peggy Robinson of the third floor is visiting in Florida and other places. We expect to see Peggy soon. I’m sure she was missed.

The “cable guys” from Time Warner and Dish were busy in the building for a few days.

Caroline Folsom sold her property and she is happy about that. She bought another car and is happy about that too. Good for Caroline. Bonnie Truehart is striving for New Year’s to be home at Ricker. We’ll be glad to see her as she has been in the hospital for a long time.

Sympathy is extended to Kim Dunlop in the loss of her grandfather, Bernie Maher, at Madigan Estates recently.

Good luck to Ruthie, Shirley Nason’s sister, who recently moved to Four Seasons. We miss you, Ruthie.

Two tenants moved out recently. I can’t give you their names.

Brian Henderson, Charlene’s hubby, has been a patient at Houlton Regional Hospital for, as he says, “a tuneup.” Glad you are back to work, Brian.

Our maintenance man,Mike Tidd, was especially busy two weekends ago when several fire alarms were malfunctioning. Mike took care of it in “no time.” Keep safe during the Christmas season — so much can happen and does.

Have you seen the Christmas lights around town? Beautiful to say the least. Thanks to all of you for allowing me to come into your reading corner. People tell me when they read “The Rumblings.” I appreciate that.

To all a “good night.” God bless until the next time.
