County grand jury indicts 19

HOULTON, Maine — Assaults and drugs dominated the list of charges against 19 individuals indicted this month by the Aroostook County grand jury.

The grand jury completed its indictments on Dec. 10, but the list was not released until Dec. 15 by Aroostook County District Attorney Todd Collins.
The following were indicted:

Lori J. Nichols, 57, Houlton, domestic violence assault, and domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.

Joshua R. Lee, 27, Haynesville, domestic violence assault with priors, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, burglary, and criminal restraint.

Douglas J. Degenhardt, 45, Jonesport, terrorizing with priors.

Dale J. Haggart, 30, Crystal, domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon with priors, and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon with priors.

Fred L. Brackett, 41, Hersey, theft of a firearm.

Jordan F. Anderson, 27, Patten, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (three counts), and operating after suspension.

Scott S. Rand, 50, Sherman, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (three counts).

James A. Anthony, 30, Ludlow, violation of conditions of release.

Phyllis J. Nason, 54, Smyrna, hindering apprehension or prosecution.

Michael J. Cooper, 27, Limestone, operating after revocation, and improper plates.

Bruce R. King, 36, Houlton, domestic violence assault with priors, and violation of conditions of release.

John J. Pettengill, 45, South Portland, operating after revocation with priors (three counts), and leaving the scene of an accident.

Jeremiah A. Drew, 26, Houlton, aggravated unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs.

David G. Crandall, 33, Houlton, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.

Leslie G. Nason, 30, Houlton, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and violation of condition of release.

Benuel Esch, 56, Smyrna, assault with priors, and domestic violence terrorizing with priors.

Brian M. Saunders, 33, Connor, aggravated criminal trespass, domestic violence assault, and violation of conditions of release.

Kristen Campbell-Dyer, 25, Presque Isle, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs.

Gerald W. Blair, 43, Cross Lake, domestic violence assault with priors.
