HOULTON – Thomas Allen McAfee, 55, of Houlton died Dec. 20th, 2015 at his home. He was born October 18th, 1960 in Houlton, the son of Dana and Betty (McLean) McAfee. He graduated from Houlton High School in 1979 and retired from the MDOT. He is a member and Past Master of Monument Lodge #96 AF & AM of Houlton where he just received the “Mason of the Year” award. Tom was a member of Anah Shriners Bangor, Maine, and the Anah Indys, North Country Cruisers, Glenwood Racing, the Houlton Fair Board, and the Demolition Derby Board where he organized several derby events over the years. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

Besides his mother of Littleton, he is survived by his wife of 32 years Susan (Burton) McAfee; two children, Brandon McAfee and Amanda Sue McAfee and her daughter Gracie Sue, all of Houlton; three siblings, Andrew McAfee of Littleton, Roxie and Chris Tarr of Littleton and Jody and Beth McAfee of Linneus; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father and one brother, Daniel.

Friends called 6-8 p.m. Tue, Dec. 22 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where a Masonic funeral service was held at 7 p.m. conducted by Monument Lodge #96 AF & AM and where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wed., December 23rd with the Reverend Steven Straubel officiating.
