MERILL — Hubert Furrow Jr., 89, died Dec. 25, 2015, in Houlton. He was born March 2, 1926, in Island Falls, the son of Hubert A. Sr. and Eunice A. (Wheaton) Furrow.
He served in the the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of the VFW Post 9699 of Ashland and Chase McGuire Post #17 of Houlton.
He is survived by one daughter, Jane Greenlaw of Smyrna; and a son, Arthur Furrow of Lincoln; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, all very special to him. He was predeased by his wife, Emogene (Russell) Furrow; and a daughter, Lenora Furrow.
Friends called from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, with a prayer service and full military honors at 4 p.m. Spring interment will be in the Merrill Cemetery.
