HOULTON & BRISTOL, CT — Carol Sabattis-Saluski , 61, passed away Jan. 12, 2016 in Bristol, CT. She was born Aug. 10, 1954 in Houlton, the daughter of Joseph Walter and Frances E. (DeVeau) Sabattis.
Carol grew up in Houlton and after her mother passed away she moved to Bangor where she graduated from John Bapst High School. She then traveled around the country. Carol enjoyed sewing, making quilts and knitting. She raised chickens and gave away many eggs as well as growing a “community” garden where many neighbors were welcome to harvest from. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family first.
Carol is survived by her husband, Joseph Saluski of Bristol, CT; two daughters, Amy Lynn Wilkes and her husband, John III of Bristol, CT, Beth Ann Moore and her husband, Christopher Jason of Japan; four grandchildren, Andrew, Makenzie, Haley and Nathan; eight siblings, Leonard Sabattis, Clair Sabattis, Doug Sabattis, Betty “June” Joseph, Linda Kaye-Bell, Debbie Belanger, Margaret Howe and Paul Sabattis; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Joanne Valentine, Veronica Joseph, and Mary Joseph and her brother, Walter James Sabattis.
Funeral services were held at the Dunn Funeral Home, Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 with Rev. David Raymond officiating. Interment will be announced at later date. Online condolences and guest book: dunnfuneral.com.
