ISLAND FALLS, Maine — The bowling action continues in the Birch Point Bowling league this past week as both the men and women took to the lanes.
In mens’ action, the standings as of Monday are: 1, Strike Force, 80-16; 2, Intimidators, 62-34; 3, Gutterballs, 58-38; 4, Rough Riders, 50-46; and 5, Sandbaggers, 38-58.
High single for the week went to Ron Webster with a 114, while Tim Sheldon won the high series at 317. The team single (536) and team series (1,556) went to Strike Force.
The top 5 averages for the week were: 1, Joe Bishop, 106.0; 2, Jerry Violette, 102.9; 3, Everett Boutiler, 102.0; 4, Bob King, 101.2; and 5, Mike Detour, 100.2.
In womens’ bowling, the top six teams are: 1, Twisted Sisters, 66-38; 2, Incredibowls, 64-40; 3, Ball Busters, 47-57; 4, Golden Girls, 44-60; 5, Candlepin Mamas, 42-62; and 6, WWB, 41-63.
The top six averages were: 1, Chris Lash, 100.9; 2, Dede Edkins, 98.3; 3, Donna Crandall, 96.5; 4, Sherry Porter, 93; 5, Janelle Grant, 90.3; and 6, Beth Edkins, 89.5.
The weekly high single went to Lash and Crandall, both with a 114. The weekly high threes went to Lash (326).
The year-to-date high single belongs to Crandall and Joanie Sides, both 126; and the year-to-date high trees belongs to Dede Edkins, 332.
