HOULTON, Maine — A local man was injured Feb. 3 when his vehicle rolled over on a snowy Interstate 95, state police said.

Zachary Hitchcock, 22, was passing traffic in the travel lane when he lost control around 5:40 p.m., according to Sgt. Jeffrey Clark.

Hitchcock, who was traveling north, went off the left side of the road into a snowbank, causing the vehicle to roll over, Clark said.

The sergeant said Hitchcock was wearing his seatbelt and was able to get out of the vehicle on his own and flag down another motorist, who took him to the truck stop on Route 1.

An ambulance picked up Hitchcock there, as he was complaining of pain. He was treated and released from Houlton Regional Hospital.
