HOULTON, Maine — Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon will be making a stop in Houlton Wednesday (today) at 9 a.m. at the Houlton Band of Maliseets Community Center.
Sarandon is appearing on behalf of the Bernie Sanders campaign to discuss his vision of opportunity for all and to listen to the issues facing the Maliseets and other tribes in the state.
The doors will be open to the public.
Sarandon is an Academy Award and BAFTA Award winner who is also known for her social and political activism for a variety of liberal causes. She was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1999 and received the Action Against Hunger Humanitarian Award in 2006.
