To the editor:
As I sit at my desk late Friday afternoon I’m looking forward to Sunday and the expected visit from the First Dude! I expect I’ll stroll over late in the morning and see what’s shaking; what the heck, might as well see what Harry’s selling for used snow machines, not that I could afford the gas to run one. I’ve been real impressed with the Palins, especially the way Sarah stands right up to the media and smiles as she incites hatred. It’s too bad the campaign has devolved to this level of discourse, you betcha.
I’m proud of the way my candidate, Senator Barack Obama, has remained above the fray. Through it all he has displayed the calm temper of a true statesman. Oh, I hope he gets to be my president. I’d be proud to have him represent this country around the world and I look forward to the day he gets to lead us out of this mess.
