BANGOR, Maine — A number of local schoolboy and schoolgirl basketball players earned “All-Tourney” accolades from the Bangor Daily News during the Maine Principal’s Association tournament. The following is a list of local athletes honored.
In Class B North, Houlton’s Kolleen Bouchard and Natalie Hill were named to the All-Tourney team, while Aspen Flewelling received honorable mention. Bouchard was also named the Owen O. Osborne Most Valuable Player Award winner.
In Class C North, Jimmy Buzzell of Hodgdon was named to the All-Tourney team, while Hawk teammate Daden Palmer earned an honorable mention.
In Class D North, Jackson Mathers of Southern Aroostook was named to the All-Tourney team, while Warrior Nolan Altvater received honorable mention. For the girls, Southern Aroostook’s Sydney Brewer and Kathadin’s Courtney Stevens received honorable mention.
