LITTLETON — Glenn Anderson Kreyssig, born July 16, 1963 in South Kingstown, RI, departed unexpectedly on February 6, 2016 on eagle’s wings. Glenn, born to Ernest Richard Kreyssig and Inga Martina Jackson, was a loving and devoted husband and father. In his short 52 years, Glenn lived a lifetime surrounded by his family, friends, and workshop, where he spent many hours designing and creating original pieces of woodworking. With no formal training, over the years Glenn became an artist, The Woodbutcher, known for his unique and skillfully crafted designs.
While Glenn educated himself in the art of woodworking, he also completed his formal education by earning an Associate in Applied Science Degree with a major in Precision Metals Manufacturing from NMCC in May 2012. Right after graduation, Glenn put his newly acquired skills as a CNC machinist to work at Bison Pumps, where he was employed until his passing. In his free time, Glenn was a devoted NASCAR fan, and he loved to ride his Harley with his wife Anne and dear friends Brian and Linda Nickerson. Glenn’s only child, Stephannie, the light of his life, brought him great joy and pride as he watched her grow into an accomplished young woman. Glenn lived to care for and bring happiness to his family and friends, and the depth of our loss is a reflection of the depth of love and devotion that he shared.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Anne of 24 years of Littleton and his daughter, Stephannie Lynn Kreyssig of Milford; a cousin, Priscilla Champlin of Narragansett, RI, and Aunt Teresa and cousin Vicky also of RI; a brother-in-law, William Cuomo and sister-in-law Deborah Oberly of Virginia; and a sister-in-law Terri Mickens of Pennsylvania. Glenn was predeceased by his father, Ernest Richard Kreyssig, his mother, Inga Martina Jackson, his brother, Gary Kreyssig, and his brother Kenneth Kreyssig. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness that are making it possible for us to take each step knowing that Glenn is loved and will be missed by so many wonderful neighbors and friends. We have been touched by many angels. Glenn was a keen observer of wildlife, and he especially revered the eagle:
