“We’re so happy to welcome Becky to our staff,” said Heidi Nightingale, chair of the Little Eagles board of directors. “She brings with her a lot of experience working with children and a great heart for kids.”
Miller, of Littleton, recently retired after close to 30 years working locally as a victim/witness advocate for the Office of the District Attorney. In that role, she worked with victims of crime, mostly women and children, providing the support they needed to navigate the legal system.
In the past, Miller has also worked in area schools as a certified BABES (Beginning Alcohol Basic Education Studies) instructor, operated her own nursery school and worked as a teacher’s aide.
She also serves as secretary on the board of Resting Arms Ministry, as well as, helping in the Junior Church program at her church — United Baptist Church — in Littleton.
“For years, she’s been working with children in a variety of different ways and we know she’s going to be a great fit here as she continues to do that,” added Nightingale.
Enrollment for Little Eagles Preschool is open for students anytime after they turn 2 1/2 years old; they do not have to be potty trained. The school offers both full- and half-day programs; tuition rates for the full-day program are $100/week. After-school programs are also available for students; those programs are an additional $3 an hour and run until 5:30 p.m.
