ISLAND FALLS, Maine — The standings in the men’s league at Birch Point Bowling Lanes as of Monday were: 1, Strike Force, 112-32; 2, Intimidators, 92-52; 3, Gutterballs, 82-62; 4, Rough Riders, 78-66; and 5, Sandbaggers, 68-76.
The High Single went to Scott Violette at 132, while the High Series went to Joe Bishop, 361. The Team Single (551) and Series (1,531) both went to Rough Riders.
The top five averages for the year are: Joe Bishop, 107.8; Everett Boutilier, 103.3; Jerry Violette, 102.3; Bob King, 101.2; and Scott Violette, 100.5.
In women’s league action, the standings feature a tie for the first time this season as the Incredibowls and Twisted Sisters are now tied at 90-62. Golden Girls are in third at 72-80, followed by another tie between Ball Busters and Candlepin Mamas, both 61-91. WWB is in sixth at 59-93.
The top six averages are: Chris Lash, 98.4; Dede Edkins, 98.2; Donna Crandall, 97.4; Sherry Porter, 94.1; Janelle Grant, 909.6; and Beth Edkins, 90.2.
The Weekly High Single went to Crandall (117), while the Weekly High Series went to Dede Edkins (302). The Year-to-Date High Single remains a tie between Crandall and Joanie Sides (both 126), while the High Series belongs to Edkins at 332.
