HODGDON — Guy E. Harrington Jr., 81, passed away March 9, 2016 at a local hospital. He was born May 27, 1934 in Hodgdon, the son of Guy and Beulah (Hatfield) Harrington.
Guy grew up in Hodgdon and graduated from Hodgdon High School, Class of 1952, where he pitched for the varsity baseball team. Following high school, he worked for area farmers until taking over Harrington’s Garage, which he would run for 60 years. Guy liked to travel to the White Mountains and Prince Edward Island. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox.
Guy is survived by his sister, Lois Murphy; nephews, Earl Little, Guy Little and his wife Burlene, Jim Little and his wife Carla, Andy Murphy, Kelly Murphy, and Larry Murphy; a niece, Christie Briggs; several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Jean Little; nephew Robert Murphy, Jr.; brothers-in-law Robert Murphy, Sr. and Merton Little.
Funeral services were held at the Dunn Funeral Home Monday, March 14, 2016 with Rev. Bernie Jordan officiating. Spring interment will be in Hodgdon Cemetery.
