ISLAND FALLS, Maine — The bowling season has come to an end in both the men’s and women’s leagues at Birch Point Bowling Alley.
The final standings in the Men’s League are as follows: 1, Strike Force, 120-40; 2, Intimidators, 102-58; 3, Gutterballs, 94-66; 4, Rough Riders, 94-66; and 5, Sandbaggers, 70-90.
The top five averages were: Joe Bishop, 107.3; Jerry Violette, 103.0; Everett Boutilier, 102.6; Bob King, 101.2; and Scott Violette, 100.5.
Last week’s high scores were: John Duffy, 120 (single); Reggie Porter Sr. and Keith Hersey, 305 (series); Sandbaggers, 508 (team single); and Strike Force, 1,451 (team series).
In the women’s league, the final team standings were: 1, Twisted Sisters, 96-64; 2, Incredibowls, 92-68; 3, Golden Girls, 78-82; 4, Candlepin Mamas, 67-93; 5, Ball Busters, 63-97; 6, WWB, 61-99.
The top six averages for the year were: Chris Lash, 98.5; Dede Edkins, 97.9; Donna Crandall, 96.9; Sherry Porter, 94.0; Janelle Grant, 90.4; and Beth Edkins, 90.2.
High average for the year went to Chris Lash, 98.5, while high single for the year was a tie between Crandall and Joanie Sides, both at 126. The high series went to Dede Edkins, 332.
The roll-off winners were: Candlepin Mamas.
