REED PLANTATION — Roger E. Williams, 86, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at a Houlton hospital. He was born March 5, 1930 in Charlton, MA, the son of Dell and Ella (McKissick) Williams. Roger loved hunting in the Maine woods and worked for many years cutting and hauling pulp. He loved to read and was a lifelong learner. Roger also enjoyed passing the time playing cribbage and rummy.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Marie (Bernard) Williams, a sister, Barbara Caouette of Charlton, MA; five sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law living in Mass-achusetts and Florida, as well as many good friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call from 12 noon Thursday, April 7, 2015 at Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton where a service will be held at 1PM with the Rev. Mel Norton officiating. Interment with military honors will be held in the spring. Online condolences and guest book: dunnfuneral.com.
