Island Falls Seniors

With cold weather still making its presence known, 11 members and three new members met for the first monthly meeting on April 6.

A delicious pot luck dinner was served followed by entertainment from “musician in residence,” Rich Camire. After the Lord’s Prayer and flag salute, the business meeting was opened by Rich, club president. Members discussed telephone scams and discovered that many had received these unwelcomed calls.

The group will plan the spring outing at the next meeting on April 21. After the business meeting, members played the “bag game.”

Present were Paige Coville, Judy Botting, Ursula Levesque, Jeanne Clements, Rich Camire, Louise Butcher, Dennis Boone, Darrell Hartin, Edith Dwyer, Mary Pipes, Terry Dwyer and three new members Barney and Marcie Coursey and Dick Sheen.

The next meeting will be on April 21, and as per usual there will be a potluck at 11:30 and the group will play Bingo. New members are always welcome, as well as visitors who want to see what the group is about.
