Laurence Leroy Albright, age 69, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away during the early morning hours of April 23, 2016 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held at 11a.m. on May 14, 2016 at the Veteran’s Memorial Riverfront Park, Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036 with Chuck Norton officiating. In case of inclement weatherservices will be held in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home. Interment will be held at a later date.
Larry was born July 24, 1946 in Houlton, Maine to the late Ralph and Viola Albright. He is also predeceased by sons, Mark Albright and infant, Jason Albright; sister, Thelma Albright. Mr. Albright was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Intrepid. Mr. Albright was a former maintanence supervisor for G. Heileman Brewing Company. He was also retired from GSA at Houlton, Maine. Larry was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, American Legion Post 329 and the VFW Post 6077.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy Albright of Hawkinsville, Georgia; son, Jason (Leila) Mayne of Plainfield, Illinois; daughters, Ina Marie Albright (Lonnie) Bryant of Woodstock, Georgia and Kelly (David) Wilborn of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Corbin (Ashton) Golyer, Kiana Mayne, Sydney Wilborn, Gavin Wilborn, Bryce Bryant and Brandon Bryant.
